Weekend Goals: Watch These 4 Mind blowing Movies

Ah, weekends. I always look forward to weekends. Really, who on Earth wouldn’t love weekends? I mean, you get to enjoy stuff that aren’t related to your work or school. You can choose to go the beach or something. Mind you, Hexa and I always ensure that we make the most of our weekends. We admit just how important it is to spend quality time together, especially after a week’s work. We would go out and do some exciting outdoor activities, which, more often than not, involve food.

However, if we decide to stay at home (because maybe we’re broke), we watch movies – our favorite pastime.

Speaking of movies, why don’t I give you four (4) from my list of favorites. These movies will surely blow your mind out of your brain. Trust me.

So, here it goes…

1. Memento (2000)

Any movie directed by Christopher Nolan, the Mind blowing King, is a sure hit. Memento is the kind of movie that leaves you a mark so deep, thus you want to watch it again. The main character is played by Guy Pearce (that dude from Iron Man 3) who has a lot of questions about his past and the purpose of his existence since he lost the ability to make new memories. Want to exercise your movie brain? Then watch this.

2.  Eternal Sunshine of Spotless Mind (2004)

If you’re broken-hearted and having a tough time pulling your arms together, see what this movie can offer you. The story revolves around a couple whose relationship turns ugly that they decide to erase each other from their memories. Yes, you heard it right. They decide to erase the memories they have for each other. Starring Jim Carrey, Kate Winslet, Mark Ruffalo, Elijah Wood, Kirsten Dunst and Tom Wilkinson.

3.  Cube (1998)

A dystopian-type movie that will surely raise the level of understanding you have about the human psyche. What captivates me about this film is the way it presents the enigma and hopelessness of a situation that has NO actual purpose. After you watch it, I strongly suggest that you visit movie forums like StackExchange (Movies/Cube) and Reddit (Cube). You will find interesting discussions about the entirety of the movie and a whole lot of stuff.

4. The Prestige (2006)

Another product of Christopher Nolan’s brilliancy. First, I suggest that if you are to watch this movie, as much as possible, there’s a subtitle. You will see how great the dialogues and will help you follow closely each scene. I tell you: You don’t want to miss the part where Nicolas Tesla is introduced.  Oh, by the way, Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale are part of this movie.

So there you have it, folks. Be sure to watch them this upcoming weekend. You won't regret it!
